Workshop Topic
VE Designs
Virtual environment designs for collaborative Social VR spaces that are safe, functional, focused, and aesthetically coherent.
Virtual environment design affects how users collaborate, focus, move, and interpret the behavior of others. The original workshop emphasized environments that facilitate virtual collaboration while reducing harmful behavior.
Good VE design balances appearance with function. It should provide spatial clarity, support task focus, reduce distraction, and give users enough control over boundaries and interaction.
A beautiful virtual room that makes collaboration impossible is just expensive wallpaper with latency.
