Interaction Techniques for Social VR

Interaction techniques for Social VR that replicate real-world actions or extend beyond physical-world limits.

Interaction techniques in Social VR can either replicate real-world interaction or extend beyond what the physical world allows. The original workshop asked whether interaction should simulate reality or deliberately move beyond it.

This includes gestures, object manipulation, movement, shared authoring tools, embodied actions, and techniques that allow users to coordinate or collaborate in new ways.

The best interaction design is not automatically the most realistic one. Sometimes reality is the bug, not the feature.
